Michael Addae-Kagyah, PhD
Dr. Michael K. Addae-Kagyah is a multidisciplinary scientist and technologist whose career integrates physics, data science, artificial intelligence, and enterprise software engineering. With more than two decades of international experience spanning academia, research, and industry, he has held technical and leadership roles at institutions such as Campbell Scientific Inc. (USA), EarthSoft Inc. (USA), Xactware Inc. (USA), and the University of Ghana. He is currently Principal Data Scientist at SUAVE AI LLC and Chief Technology Officer (Part-time) for Africa USA Business Connections, leading data-driven innovation initiatives between Africa and North America.
His research and product-development portfolio covers AI, machine learning, big-data engineering, and computational physics, producing practical tools such as Safari-MCQ (AI-based exam-grading suite), EMT-FTS (ECOWAS Marine Fishing Tracking System for maritime surveillance), Sahara-TES (teacher-evaluation analytics), and Smart-Attendance (AI-enabled classroom monitoring). These systems demonstrate how scientific modelling and data science can drive governance, education, and business transformation.
Dr. Addae-Kagyah previously lectured in Physics at the University of Ghana, supervising postgraduate research in energy systems and computational modelling. He continues to serve as consultant and systems architect to universities, government agencies, and private enterprises seeking end-to-end digital solutions grounded in data integrity, sustainability, and local capacity building.
