In any organisation, the traditional model of strict command and control wastes a significant amount of time and money. Mutual trust, employee motivation and readiness to perform can easily be undermined. Performance Management, on the other hand, offers a different, much more effective approach. It’s about setting achievable goals for the organisation and targets for individuals and teams.
The three-day programme on Performance Management is intended to give participants the requisite knowledge and skills to enable them translate their experience and knowledge into practice and contribute their optimum best towards the realization of the vision of their organisations.
This programme has been designed to fill the gap identified in some Public Service Institutions where there is a disconnect between Strategic Plans, Work Plans, Objectives and Performance because leaders lack the skills to effectively conduct, coach and monitor performance during the entire Performance Management process to achieve the desired results. This leads to a lot of management issues such as low morale among staff, low productivity and wastage.
Participants who attend the Performance Management training programme will significantly enhance their ability to give and receive objective and constructive performance feedback.
